“As long as we are together, Madame Gigi.” Aloin smiles at his family.
Gigi nods, thinking out loud. “Ray, you know those empty storefronts waiting to be rented around town? Especially here in the city Loop?”
“Sure, like the shopping center across the street. They’ve got window space in their mall overlooking Randolph Street right now. What’re you thinking?”
“Well, you taught me a blank window’s like an empty canvas, right?” He nods. “What if the mannequins were a part of Chicago’s Pop Up Art Program? Instead of dark, empty windows, folks get a chance to see projects done by local artists. But in this case, why not with a historical twist? Use the vintage aspect. Imagine . . . Chicago, early twentieth century.” Warming to the idea, she talks faster. “You know, there might even be grant money in this!”
