When we adopt a mindset where we see possibilities and take action, much can happen. A whole plethora of possibilities opens up! For example, take a moment to imagine that everything is possible. Use your imagination to see and sense blockages melting away and your imagination turning into a reality. Now, feel yourself still grounded, sitting in your chair, and realize that it does take clarity, discipline, and a lot of creativity to make it real. Yes, your life can change and be different—the possibilities are endless. The question to ask is, what role are you willing to play to shift the elements? What’s in your way? What bridges will you need to construct and create? Do you get defensive when your fundamental beliefs are challenged? What unhealthy practices, beliefs, and people will you need to address to walk down healthy pathways?
Many of us live largely on the mental plane, but if we spend too much time there, we could easily think our life away. The antidote to all this thinking, analysis, and possible information overload is to play. For me, much shifted when I started to consider how I could have more fun in my life and have a more playful relationship with knowledge, in my own way. So, I ask you, what do you enjoy? What would you love to do more of? What do you imagine that lights you up? Can you imagine something small that will lift your spirits? Poet Mary Oliver asks, “Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?”
