What do we experience with our eyes but never see with our hearts? Visualize for a moment a person visually impaired from birth. They have a special sense of seeing the world differently than sighted folks. For example, folks who are blind view nothing. Suppose a doctor performs surgery to give them sight; they might notice blurry shadows and soon dazzling lights. The blind person makes out shapes and identifies the world as sighted people. What a miracle to explore the world with our eyes, and how blessed and excited a sighted person will show their joy.
Let’s peek at God’s gift of salvation through the eyes of Jesus. We recognize our Lord Jesus Christ in everything created, and we hear of miracles generated every day in our world, from people being saved from one disaster to another. Before we knew Jesus, we did not discern the Holy Spirit. But once we find Jesus, then the light of God enters our hearts, and we will see the details of God.
