One robot strapped me into my seat. The helicopter held six people and resembled a small hovercraft except for its ability to jet across the sky at high speeds. The oblong silver vessel was a technological feat of genius. I recall a time when the government developed a new prototype spacecraft.
In recent years, the advancements in humanoid robot technology have reached a point where distinguishing between actual humans and humanoid robots poses a challenge.
My muscles were tight, and a wave of dread built within me. When I glanced at my wristwatch, I pondered the mystery of our destination and Noah’s arrival.
A humanoid robot in a metal-padded seat sat across from me. I wanted to ask it a question, but it spoke first.
“Mrs. Northrop, we will return for your husband in a few minutes. So don’t worry. Sit back and relax. You will see him later. We had multiple disasters while you were with the aliens, and the new world leader emerged and declared martial law.”
“What does that mean for me? Have you seen my sons? Can you tell me the identity of the new global leader? I’m sorry. I have many questions and am eager to return home.”
Martial law and we were gone for four days. What happened, and why a new global leader unless the aliens took over our government? How did they know of our abduction? Many strange occurrences. Please no! Not the aliens in charge.
The humanoid robot rotated and stared at me before he delivered a strange message.
“Mrs. Northrop, you will not return to your home. The dam water swept away the homes in your neighborhood. You will live in another region or Marsh Harbor. Mr. Cyrus Rashid Melekh has asked you to meet him at your worksite in Arvvada.” The humanoid robot ignored my questions. A wave of tension washed over me, and every muscle in my body tightened. I drew myself nearer to the robot to catch its words.
“What? Who is Cyrus Rashid Melekh?”
