I have discerned through study, the few word changes made in the English textual version of the Bible makes a difference in how we read the Scripture and how the Hebrew, Latin or Greek is translated from the original language to the English version. A Hebrew word in a sentence can mean two to eight different meanings in a sentence. You have to look at the entire sentence and pray to get the correct translation or search for a Hebraic translation in the original language. This is not what the average person will do; only the committed Christian will seek more knowledge and understanding. Remember your pastor or rabbi cannot give you comprehensive explanations to Yeshua’s word in a weekly sermon. You have to seek and study the Scriptures to acquire truth for yourself.
I have discovered many verses in the English King James to be different in English than what is written in the Hebrew Bible or Tanakh. Let’s be clear there is no Old Testament for the Jews, it is called the Tanakh and it has divisions: Torah, Nevi’im (Prophets), and Ketuvim (writings). Thereby the meaning of a sentence will take on a new life if translated correctly from the Hebrew to the English. I still believe us as Christians should have learned Hebrew when we were younger, thereby learning to translate the Word of Holy God correctly and we would have a clearer knowledge of God and His Hebrew Language. We will all speak Hebrew in Heaven so if you know the language now, you will have a pre-knowledge of Hebrew for the after-life.
There are times when you read the Scripture you feel as if there is something missing. English translators decided to ignore critical facts in the Bible because they decided it was not necessary to go further into the explanation regarding the Nephilim (the Giants). One example, the truth about the “fallen angels” having relations with the women on earth found in Genesis 6:1-4 is fraught with multiple questions. The Nephilim who walked on earth as men of renown is a historical fact because documentation has been found on various archeological exhibitions throughout the world. There is one paragraph mentioned about the Nephilim as far as the written Biblical Scriptures is concerned. However, the Nephilim is throughout the Old Testament so they were real but the explanation as to how they came about is a mystery. So who were the Nephilim? What really happens to the women is my question? I had to read the Parashah (Weekly Tanakh) in English to discover the truth about the Giants. I had to read the Midrash commentaries for explanations beyond to really get the truth and then an extensive study of older writings before I was able to find “truth.” Even though some of the Scriptures are missing, if the translators have put in everything from the Holy Scriptures most people would not have read the Bible anyway. People have a tendency to not read the Bible, and what is already written in the Bible, is too excessive for the average person to comprehend all at once.
