What is propelling Man to run from God in these Last Days? This is one question that has puzzled me for some time. I know that God is not puzzled by this question because He knows all answers to everything on this earth. The Lord God Almighty has given us the Wisdom to search and seek answers to all questions of life. This can be a life journey for everyone; we will not know all answers until we are in Heaven with the Father. One thought has come to me from Almighty God is that our Spiritual Leaders or Pastors are not teaching the Word of God as they should to their congregations. They are more concerned with keeping membership than teaching “End Times” prophecy that all congregations are yearning to be familiar with, in these “Last Days on Earth.” Many will be left on earth and if they are ignorant of what is coming, then their last chance to enter into the kingdom of God will be nullified if they have no knowledge of Tribulation events.
I must give credit to Messianic Rabbis and some Pastors who are not concerned about membership numbers but about saving Souls, they are teaching congregates to be ready for the great “gathering up” of the Saints. Scripture does say that Pastors will be judged more severely than lay people because they were called to preach and teach the entire Word of God, not just the parts they are comfortable with, but all books of the Bible. (James 3:1) We will search the Scriptures and seek some of the answers to the question of mankind running from God.
Jonah ran away from God when he was told to go to Nineveh and preach against the city because its wickedness had come up to God (Jon 1:1, 10, NIV).
King Saul ran away from God in the Spirit – when he decided to burn an offering to the Lord at Mikmash. King Saul sinned by burning an offering to God and let Satan crouch in his heart, thereby not asking God what he should do, before he marched out to war. This blatant act of disobedience led to Saul’s fits of schizophrenia, as his kingship was “torn” from him by Jehovah. He developed an aggressive rage of discontent that caused him to chase David all over the Kingdom (1 Sam 13:1-15, TLV).
Prophet Elijah ran after Jezebel announced she would kill him for killing her prophets (1Kgs 18:46-19:9, TLV).
