Were we ever “fire” in our flesh, before we became flesh? The answer to this question is “yes”, in a spiritual perspective we are born out of a fire. Almighty God our Creator is a flaming consuming fire. Elohim breathed His breath of fire into Adams’ lungs, and the cold clay body became “hot” with blood, and Adam began to breathe the breath of Life through his body. This proves that we are made “hot” in a spiritual sense from fire known as (esh – אש) in the Hebrew language.
Our blood runs “hot” in our bodies and when we die, we are cold because the breath of fire has left the body. The breath of fire is the Spirit and the Soul of the person that has returned to Almighty God, who is the Creator. We are told to keep our sinful emotions and desires away from evil intent. The flesh lacks the capacity to evoke restraint unless we are connected to our Spirit because the flesh is part of the Soul. The Soul feeds on sinful thoughts that turn into regrets transmitted by demonic parasites from Satan. Fire burns hot according to dictionary descriptions, and it is fiery and very hot to the touch. It will burn or scorch the skin or completely consume a fleshly body. This is why as Christians we must be careful what we say with our “tongues” and what we do with our “bodies”, they can be a blessing or a curse.
