So what does running from God have to do with death? 2“In Hebrew, the word for truth is emet (אֱמֶת). When we remove the letter Aleph from the word emet you are left with the word “dead” (i.e., met: מֵת). The letter Aleph is the ineffable letter that represents oneness and preeminent glory of God. Therefore, if we attempt to ignore or suppress God in our understanding of truth, we end up with death. And since Yeshua told us, “I am the way (הַדֶּרֶךְ), the truth (הָאֱמֶת), and the life (הַחַיִּים); no one comes to the Father apart from me” (Jhn 14:6), those who deny His reality are in a state of spiritual death.
We simply cannot know the meaning of life apart from knowing the person Messiah Yeshua and His Glory. Mankind has been seeking the truth of God for centuries and yet men run, when confronted with reality and the Real truth of God. Consequently, disobedience and death to the Soul and Spirit occur by this act of denial, which brings about guilt, depression, self-denial, conflict, anger, sin, and faithlessness. The Scripture refers to death like the sting from the locust’s scorpion that is so agonizing that people will seek death but death will fly away. Man is not allowed to die, and the agony from the pain lasted for five months (Rev 9: TLV).
