The Lord is so amazing in the things He does for us every day. If people would only listen to God - then their lives would be better. God only wants the best for his children and He only asks that we obey, love and give our complete lives to HIM. Jesus came to set the captives free not to bind us; but, we still don't understand what this means in Luke 4:18, NLT, "The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, for he has anointed me to bring Good News to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim that captives will be released, that the blind will see, that the oppressed will be set free.” Also in 2Kings 6:17, NKJV, “Then the Lord opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw and behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha". Elisha prayed that the servant would see an amazing God overcome his enemy and trust God. This story is so awesome, since our eyes are so blinded to what is in the other dimension where God lives that we are not able to see into the spirit realm. When we ask for protection from God, He sends His Angels to protect us right away, because God loves us so much. Protection might not be the way we as mankind would like to see but believe me you are protected if you truly believe. He readily deploys a mountain full of angels of fire so we know He is real. The scripture states " And behold the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all-around Elisha". This event happened because the Syrian army was going to attack Israel and Elisha stated "Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them" meaning the Syrian army that surrounded them in 2 Kings 6:16, 17, NKJV they had no idea they were out-numbered. The lesson taught by God was to trust Him and not look at your problem but focus on Jesus the Messiah and look up when problems arise. Put your trust in Adonai and your trouble will not go away but, you will know how to handle your problems because you will be armed with the Word of God. You will know certain scriptures to quote or where to find answers in the Bible to assist you.
