Origins begins the story of a young boy, Coyle's sudden and unexpected cancer diagnosis. He receives an experimental treatment from a large medical corporation. But he quickly learns that there may be a much more sinister plan in the works.
Coyle has been openly skeptical of the doctors that have been treating him. However, his suspicions only seem to be based on rumors and personal opinion. We don't know yet whether to trust his instincts. After all, they are trying to cure his leukemia. What could be wrong with that? This part of the story is one of my favorite. It is where we begin to wonder if Coyle was really right about Somatotech all along. Are they genuinely trying to help him? Or have all of his suspicions just been confirmed?
