The Power and Electricity of Dance

I love this scene because it shows how amazing and powerful it can be to dance with someone you are attracted to. In Zoe and Jay's case, it is as dangerous as a kiss would have been. They aren't only physically attracted to each other. They are emotionally and intellectually drawn to each other as well. There is mutual admiration and respect. They have fun together. There is an underlying loyalty and friendship. Add this to their insane chemistry and the details of a past we don't completely know...and...voila! One of my favorite scenes. I hope the readers enjoy it as well. And yes, this author loves dancing.

The First Kiss (And The First Time)

Kevin and Janie have a complicated relationship from the beginning. When they first meet, they really don't know about each other so they are both happy. It's fun to discover your neighbor is gorgeous, fun, and interesting. Right? Except Janie is still getting over the loss of her boyfriend after many months, and she doesn't think she can even want someone ever again. Kevin, on the other hand, doesn't believe in love, romance or relationships. Janie seems like the last person on earth to want something with him, casual or not. And surely, after such a wonderful relationship, she can't settle for just for fun? But when the chemistry is so strong...you can only give in. Can it work when they both have such wildly different pasts and perceptions?

A New Beginning

Janie overhauls her whole life: from a new job in a new city to brand new car. She knows this is necessary to get over the death of her boyfriend. Her brother thinks she is making a huge mistake. Her life in LA was pretty damn perfect. Her life in San Diego is off to a gorgeous start, but then, she realizes having neighbors might be overrated since she has to call 911 from night 1. :)
