I’ve become a big fan of Christina Tetreault over the last few years. When I discovered the opportunity to purchase the audio version for $1.99, I immediately took advantage of it. This is Book 5 in her The Sherbrookes of Newport series, and it’s the best one I have read so far!

Trent Sherbrooke is the typical playboy, never having any type of relationship other than sexual with any women. While his initial plans to go along with his campaign manager’s suggestion to find a suitable wife, sounded like a good option to help repair his damaged image, he does not believe Addison would be the right woman. He thinks he needs a woman who is well aware that it will be strictly a business arrangement, mutually beneficial for both of them.

When a picture shows up in the tabloids, and his manager tells him she is exactly what he needs, he balks, but eventually goes along. He soon realizes that Addison is a woman of substance, and he no longer wants just a marriage of convenience. He wants the real deal.

Can what started out as a means to an end, turn into a forever kind of love, or will Addison run if she finds out how their romance originally started?

Redeeming a Billionaire is a fast-paced, easy reading experience. Ms. Tetreault’s writing style is smooth and flowing, making this an engaging story. The plot is believable and the characters are great.

Addison is an endearing heroine, and I became fully vested in her character from the start. It was hard to trust Trent since he had such a bad reputation as a “love ’em and leave ’em” kind of guy, but she still manages to open her heart to him and believe he can fall in love with her.

At first, I was not sure I would like Trent. His reasoning for going along with his manager’s suggestion is underhanded and does not show him in a favorable light. As the romance unfolds, his quick turn around involving his feelings for Addison, went a long way in getting me to fall in love with his character. By the end of the book, I was rooting for him to win Addison’s devotion.

The sensuality of Redeeming a Billionaire is a step up from what is normally there in Ms. Tetreault’s books, and definitely, fit this story. The chemistry between Trent and Addison is combustible, and I thoroughly enjoyed their love affair.

I listened to the audio version performed by Piper Goodeve and really enjoyed her narrative. She reads with just the right amount of emotion and gives the characters distinct voices. I will be looking for other books narrated by Ms. Goodeve.

If you like a light-hearted love story with good depth of character and a great plot, then you will love Redeeming a Billionaire as much as I did. Although this book is part of a series, it is a stand-alone. Happy reading!

A stand alone read with a HEA. The hero comes from a big wealthy family with dozens of cousins, brothers, sisters, etc. Much like the Kennedy's. The hero is a very well known playboy. He has had more than his share of women and pretty much when every he wanted them from models to movie stars to even a princess. His reputation precedes him. Not only is he rich, he is smart, gorgeous, and charming. At this point in his life he has decided he wants to run for a Senate seat from his home state. He hires a man that is known to get his candidates elected. You can sort of tell from the onset that this guy may be good but he is a sleaze. However, when you have money and you want something you can buy whatever it takes to get you your hearts desire. It sort of shows you how we the public can be persuaded to vote on someone just by being sold a bill of goods.

The heroine is a young woman that comes from a big Italian family. They have been owning and operating bakeries in the area for generations. She is clean as they come. Smart, college educated she owns her own design company. Even though she is starting out she is slowly building her business. She quite literally runs into the hero coming out of her families bakery. He spills coffee all over her blouse, he offers to pay for it but she refuses. She does recognize him but she doesn't let on that she knows who he is. Everyone in the U.S. knows who he is so no secret there.

That is how their story starts. It is a whirlwind love story as he starts to fall for her. Such a golden girl could clean up is playboy image. She could be his ticket to the Senate. All goes well until she finds out the plan. It is a very entertaining read. I enjoyed it and I definitely recommend it. It does get a little sexy from time to time. So if that is a problem, be aware. It wasn't too graphic, just a little bit more than an insinuation. No matter, it is a good read.

I was not paid for this review. i am not a writer nor do I know one. I am not kin to this author. I am a reader and this is my opinion, nothing more, nothing less. 2/11/18

I adored Addison from the beginning of the story. She was a woman following her own ambition. Starting a business that put her in control and not corporate America. One stumble, one spilled coffee, and one time to make amends. That is all in took to send her world into the spotlight and her heart into the hands of a man who was a puppet.

Trent only had to listen to his cousin or follow is gut and things would have been smooth sailing. He had it all, a career, prime spot for Senate, and a woman who loved HIM. It wasn't enough, well yes it was. He just forgot to destroy the evidence that could take it all away. Oh yeah, and fire that heartless Marty.

That is enough insider info for you guys. Go and get this book by Christina. Although she writes about billionaires there money and wealth is not the for front. It's family, love, and giving back. I have been a fan of the Sherbrookes since book one and that will not change. Jake made me fall in love with him even more, Trent is one lucky SOB.

If you've read this series before you will see similarities between this story and the Callie/Dylan one. However, it adds to the familiarity of the characters instead of detracting from it. I loved how Trent's cousin warned him yet he ignored her advice. You knew it was going to bite him eventually but the chemistry between him and Addison was so real that I nearly forgot about it till nearly the end. The book is engaging, characters felt very true to life given their circumstances and the romance was steamy at parts but not over the top. At the end you will find yourself looking forward to the next one and feeling like you experienced life with these characters in real life. Thoroughly enjoyed this book and would highly encourage everyone to pick it up.

Billionaire Trent Sherbrooke wants to work his way into the United States senate and follow in the footsteps of his relatives. Unfortunately, a sleazy campaign manager tries to push him to leave his playboy background behind and 'step up to the plate' with a new image. That requires settling down with a female partner who will help promote his new image as a reliable and responsible person in the eyes of the voters. Trent accidentally knocks into Addison (Addie) spilling coffee all over her, which starts his course by pure interest alone into a budding relationship. Addie who has recently started her own design company is pure honesty, integrity and ambition; nothing like any of the females or those chosen by Trent's campaign manager to help foster Trent's rise up the political ladder. Her spirit, down-to-earth personality and sense of humor endear her to Trent and make this story a 'MUST' read. I loved the flow of the story and the transformation in Trent. What he does to show his love is a true sacrifice for his love of Addie. Now onto reading the other family member stories by this author. Love her style; use of humor; strong female leads who 'stand up for themselves.'

This book doesn't have the usual Billionaire Playboy, who is rude and impolite, rather it depicts him as polite and respectful and just enjoying his life to the fullest. I liked this aspect of the story.
