Deeply Rooted Dreams (The Rewired Series Book 2) Kindle Edition
Woven into another fast-paced, topical mystery, the second installment of this new thought fiction series explores overcoming fear in the pursuit of purpose and the interconnectedness of all things in nature.
This 2022 International Book Awards Finalist and sequel to The Recruiter unveils more of the universal trial facing humanity in an “intricate, engaging” way that goes “above and beyond” (Reader Views).
Since her encounter with Ori years ago, Jessica has continued her mission to print the truth that the world needs to hear. This pursuit has led her to meet with a source, Zach Carver, a leading mind at the Singularity Group. The meeting goes awry, and Jessica awakens to find that she has a gap in time and memory and that Zach is now missing.
Jessica sets out to understand what happened, for Zach’s sake and her own. To her surprise, Ori reappears to help her. His solution involves a promising young recruit, Malik, whose research could be the key to recovering Zach. However, the forces they are up against have proven they will go to great lengths to remove any obstacle in their path.
Jessica soon realizes there is more at stake than just her recent memories. Somehow the fates of Zach and Malik are intertwined with her own. What comes next could tip the scales in the fight to overcome a virus impacting the world.
This journey toward a better future strikes an intriguing balance of mystery and wonder and “will have readers keen to see what [Alexander Mukte] has in store next” (The BookLife Prize).

About the Author
I love people, their stories, their backgrounds, as well as what shapes them, what they dream about, and how they think. I have a passion for learning, and I approach writing as another reason to learn new things every day.
After graduating with a degree in business, I volunteered in the U.S. Peace Corps, where I aided in creating sustainable small business ventures in Central America. Before taking this leap of faith, I did Business Development and Consulting for large domestic and international companies. These experiences weave themselves into the characters, places, and stories I create.
An avid traveler, I enjoy exploring new places with my family. I was raised in Southeastern Arizona and now call Georgia home, along with my wife and two sons.
The Recruiter is my debut novel, and Deeply Rooted Dreams is its sequel.
If you gravitate toward uplifting and inspiring messages,
if you enjoy a little philosophy, even when you don't entirely agree,
if you have experienced dreams to be meaningful and powerful,
if you believe the universe is infinitely more complex and exciting than we can imagine,
then you may enjoy reading what I love to write.

About the author
After spending over a decade in business consulting and sales, Alexander took a leap of faith to become an author. Though he has major excel prowess, his imagination is where he prefers to hang out, turning the stories in his head into books that he can share with the rest of the world.
Alexander lives in Decatur, Georgia, with his loving wife and two young sons. When he’s not writing, reading books on genuinely geeky topics, or pretending to be a superhero, he is out walking on one of the nature trails near his home. These trails provided much inspiration for his second novel, Deeply Rooted Dreams.

- Reviewed in the United States on July 16, 2021If you read The Recruiter, the first volume in The Rewired Series, you will remember Ori Clayborn (founder and CEO of the Singularity Group) and Jessica (the “scribe” - which you’ll learn more about in this book). The sequel picks back up with Jessica several years later, when a virus has put humanity in a tailspin. This plucky investigative reporter finds herself on the precipice of a dangerous story that she doesn’t yet understand. Thankfully (for Jessica and for the reader), Ori, Evelyn, Jordan, and several other characters are back to help. There’s also a great new storyline with a likable young guy named Malik who is energetically throwing his intellect and creativity at the problem.
The exciting second volume in this series takes it to the next level. While book one teased some sci fi elements, I found book two to be squarely speculative fiction. The supernatural and futuristic elements, while tethered to a reality we have all been experiencing over the past year and a half, make this an enjoyable and imaginative read. And in what seems to be true Mukte fashion, this book leaves you with hope.
Readers will be on the edge of their seats as they follow these characters on their journey to save the world. Alexander Mukte has created another “must-read.”

Images in this review - Reviewed in the United States on July 10, 2021What a wild ride! Sequels are not usually as good as the original but this next part of the Rewired Series does not disappoint. Ori is relatable yet frustrating at times. The depth of the characters is what keeps me wanting to find out what will happen next. God I hope there is a trilogy in store for us!
