About this ebook

Great gift idea!

The full-color gift edition of this powerful American historical fiction novel, with red ribbons at every heading and 16 beautiful relevant pictures at important points throughout, makes a great Christmas gift to give.

Historical fiction or alternative history?: The lives of Henry Wadsworth Longfellow and Mark Twain both did really contain terrible tragedies from which they both eventually found real hope and spiritual meaning and filfillment—at least in this novel. Read it to find out how.

This novel is about one little sermon called “The Christmas Victory,” and one, even littler poem, called “Christmas Bells,” and how, fictionally, they both may have influenced and given hope to, not only the author of the poem, Henry W. Longfellow, but also his son, Charles, and Mark Twain, whom Charles meets. Though suffering tragic losses, these all eventually find hope and spiritual fulfillment, at least in this novel. Get it to see how.

This book can serve as a means of encouragement and hope to those who have suffered loss, or to all of us, who might happen to do so in the future.

About the author

James M. Becher was born in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, on June 8, 1943 to a Christian family and accepted Christ at an early age. He was an avid reader in his youth, especially interested in stories about other time periods and also science fiction. In Jr. High school, he became interested in writing and drama. He wrote several poems, articles and a few short stories, plays and novelettes.

While attending St.Petersburg Jr. College, he won second prize in a short story contest with the Biblical short story, "Beggarman-Thief."
He graduated from Clearwater Christian College in 1970, with a B.A. degree in Bible-literature, and Biblical School of Theology (now Biblical Seminary) in Hatfield, Pennsylvania, in 1974 with a M.Div.

He was ordained in November of 1974, and has served as assistant or associate pastor or Bible teacher in several churches. He also served in a foreign student ministry, which is where he met his wife, Berenice from Venezuela. It was there also that he began working on the novel "Of Such Is The Kingdom," based on his short story, "Beggarman-Thief." In 1984, James and his wife spent a year and a half in Venezuela, where, while teaching English, he also worked on his second novel, "IMPOSSIBLE JOURNEY." Upon returning from Venezuela, he completed and revised his Biblical novel, "OF SUCH IS THE KINGDOM," which was published by PublishAmerica (now, America Star Books) on September 7th, 2003. He completed and revised "IMPOSSIBLE JOURNEY" and it was published in June of 2005. In 2010, he revised and expanded "OF SUCH IS THE KINGDOM," adding a Part III, and in June, 2014 it was split in two, with Parts I&II comprising one book and Part III a separate book. (See books.)

He has also published, written articles for and edited the bi-weekly ezine, "Inspirational Success Tips." His articles from the ezine now form the major part of his newly published self-help book, "Principles of the Kingdom."
