Sixteen years ago, he disappeared from her life. Now, he’s the only one who can protect her.

Today he’s a member of Elite Force Security, but sixteen years ago he belonged to one of the wealthiest families in Connecticut. After his father’s conviction for investment fraud, Connor Anderson left behind his privileged life and everyone associated with it, including Becca André. All that changes the morning she sits down next to him inside a busy D.C. café and asks him to lunch.

For the past four years, Becca has worked in Washington, D.C., where the greatest physical threat she faces each day is a paper cut. However, everything changes when Becca’s stepsister goes missing and someone tries to kidnap her. Now, the only person she can rely on is her long-ago summer fling, Connor. A man she never forgot and the one she’s falling in love with again.
Despite the women who’ve passed through his life, Becca is the only one Connor’s ever truly cared about. And he’ll do anything to keep her safe. But will it be enough?

I'm a fan of Ms Tetreault's books, having discovered her writing with The Sherbrookes of Newport series (seriously check these out, I highly recommend) and now, new and old fans alike can sink their teeth into a new series by Christina.

Born to Protect tells the story of Connor Anderson and Becca Andre, friends that could've been more way back in their high school years. Scandal struck Connor and his family during the summer of his graduating year and he has never been back to his home town again. He runs into Becca again some years later and they get to know one another ... Just as drama is erupting into Becca's world. Enter Elite Force Security, where Connor and his team mates work hard to protect the civilians entrusted into their care. And this time it's Becca that needs protection.

I just loved this story! I loved the links between Born to Protect and the Sherbrookes, we first met Connor briefly in Allison Sherbrooke's story, and she and her family are mentioned a few times. As with Ms Tetreault's other series, her writing is real, the characters are well-developed and readers are hooked in by the first page. I really look forward to reading this series as it progresses, who will have their story told next? I can't wait!

Born to Protect is a must read for all lovers of contemporary romance, and is recommended highly by this book-loving reader!

Loved it. Christina you’re very talented. Hate the way you cut the stories off, but I see why you do it, so I accept the premise. Elite Force was very suspenseful. I love how you don’t make your character’s love scenes the main show. Its refreshing.

My favorite wedding. Was Curt’s and Pricilla’s. Tried to leave a message on your website, but you have a problem with your contact page.

First story by this author and it was enjoyable. This is a clean story with only a few passionate kisses. I just didn't feel a connection to the couple.

There is some suspense but we are left to figure out why all these people became involved in a plot. None of that was answered.

I thought the team was somewhat lax in not checking for bugs at anytime during this story.

No cheating, no cliffhanger, HEA, some romance and no spice. (ljb)

I appreciated the rapid change between POV but thought there was something missing. Maybe I’ve been reading too many romance books but it was pretty light in the romance department but overall the story line was good.

In "Born to Protect ~ Elite Force Security ~ Book 1" Becca André ran into Connor Anderson in a coffee shop after he left his home town at the end of the summer after they graduated from high school.

He is now a member of Elite Force Security group. Becca's stepsister goes missing and things quickly change when a kidnapper makes an attempt on Becca. Connor group is called in to help and she becomes his priority to protect her.

Born to Protect has a hot military hero, lots of suspense and adventure. I read it in less than a day and enjoyed it and look forward to more books in the series.

I loved this book for many reasons. 1 It was not all about getting dirty. 2 Action from the beginning to the end. They could make this into a movie.

I will read the other books in the series. I'm looking forward to Mad Dogs' story!

The book lacked soul, character, depth of emotions or a valid story line.
I started this book with high hopes but was sorely disappointed.

Would give this series a complete miss.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great protection
Reviewed in Australia on October 1, 2018
I was extremely happy to read a love and protection book that did not go into graphic sex scenes. I loved that the two main characters played this roles well and would recommend this book, especially to young women so that they can register in their minds and bodies how important feelings are in the prevention of horrible happenings. Too many naive women these days play very uncertain roles in their own lives and cannot handle situations. Seeking help is paramount! The protector in this story is wise beyond years. This may not be the premise of writing this story but it sure speaks to me in that way

4.0 out of 5 stars A little rushed

This story was a little slow in getting going but was very readable. The ending, however, seemed rushed and sentences seemed to be missing.
