Before Ella, Striker lived a carefree life, responsible for no one’s happiness but his own. With Ella, though, images of minivans and white picket fences started to surface, and he bolted. Striker quickly realized walking away from Ella was the biggest mistake he ever made. With her home, he’s determined to win her back.
Although she’s positive it’s a big mistake, Ella agrees to give Striker a month. IN HIS KISS is a standalone read with a HEA. It is a bit sexy if that is a problem for you. This is a second chance love story.
Striker and Ella were seriously dating. She was in love with him and he loved her but he started having negative thoughts about marriage, kids, responsibility and he ended things. He didn't really explain all that was bothering him, he just called things off. In their small town where everybody knows your name and your business everyone tries to tell him he is making a big mistake.

He didn't think so at the time. Ella leaves for Paris to study towards her degree. She has been gone for almost a year when she returns home. She dated a bit but nothing serious because she is still in love with Striker. He dates several ladies, has sex with them but is not in love with them because he misses Ella.

Once she gets home he has decided to do everything in his power to win her back and get her to give him a second chance. She is not that forgiving and wants nothing to do with him. He enlists the help of his sister, Ella's best friend, to help him win her back. The sister is just about as mad as Ella but she agrees to help him when he admits that he is in love with Ella.

After a bit of begging Ella agrees to give him 30 days to prove that he loves her and that he is serious. As most women are prone to do, Ella wants to forgive him but then she starts testing him to see if he will do the same thing he did before. Of course he doesn't but he does get a bit upset when he finds out she has been testing him and lying to him. The story takes a big turn about now. I thought it was very entertaining and I enjoyed it. I see things like this happening in real life all the time. If the guy doesn't fall into the expected path, it seems everybody wants to jump on the band wagon of hating the guy. Personally I think he was courageous to admit that he had fears and called things off rather than lead her on or marry her and then fairly quickly act on his fear. And too, resent the responsibilities as they start to build up. It seems as though everyone expects way more of the man than they do the female. By the time Striker gets his second chance he has made peace with his fears and knows what he wants. I would definitely recommend the story.

I was not paid for this review. I am not a writer nor do I know one. I am not kin to this author. I am a reader and this is my opinion, nothing more, nothing less. 3/3/19

This was the 4 th book in a series about a small, tightly knit Massachusetts town where everybody knows everybody else's business. Okay as a standalone, but I might have better understood more about the various characters' relationships, if I'd read the first 3. I enjoyed the storyline, but felt it ended too abruptly. Also felt some situations, (such as the waitress who had a one night stand with Striker, but obviously wanted more, could have ended up in Ella's new Spanish classes; or the other dance instructor at Prime might object to Ella becoming the new director) and these incudents could have been developed further to create more conflict, forcing the main characters more angst before working things out. But perhaps these incidents might prove to be plots of future books in the series. It was a light, easy read, and a welcome break from more intense reading material. If you like light, romantic books, with continuing characters and intertwined storylines, you'll probably like these books! Warning: Realistic, believable, tasteful, but somewhat explicit sexual situations.

There are too many people in this story. Sometimes you can't who is talking. The author spends so much time writing about people in the community that she failed to develop her H/H. I found no story here and the relationship between the H/H was weak. The problem that drove them apart the second time was nonsense. I finished it but skipped some of it.

Cute story about life and relationships between good friends and boyfriends and girl friends. It's difficult to be honest and sometimes it's easier just to be misunderstood than to correct a misunderstanding . Then life gets all twisted and more difficult . Life is full of surprises that's for sure, we really don't need to complicate it more! Very exciting alk the way

The characters were well developed, however if you didn't read the first three books you could get lost with trying to place them all. Striker was a loveable man who was slow to see what he wanted and Ella took a while too.

I love second chance romances, especially set in small towns. With this story we get both. Ella and Striker were in a relationship, but when she gets a professor exchange position in Paris, he calls it off. Now that she’s back in town, will he be able to win her back or will she find someone new? Grab your copy and see what happens.

Another sweet romance from Christina. She leads you on the adventure of Strikers and Ella’s getting back together story; while setting the scene for Kelsey’s own love story.
