Damnation's Door: Cursed Book 3 Kindle Edition
It should have been over.
We closed the Heaven Gate and kept the demons out, stopping Lucifer's plan. But we didn't know the consequences, and now every angel on earth is trapped in their mortal body. All that remains is closing the Hell Gate and establishing a balance once and for all. That means returning to the city of my nightmares and finally confronting my past.
But my sister's powers and instincts are becoming darker. I don't know how to protect her anymore. My enemies are waiting to blindside me and make me suffer.
I don't know who I can save. I don't know who I will lose. But I do know the end is here, and I'm ready to fight for it.
Trust is lost and hearts are broken in the epic conclusion in Amy Braun’s Cursed trilogy, perfect for fans of dark urban fantasy.

"Being alive shouldn't have been a burden."
This is the conclusion to the Cursed trilogy and I'm beyond sad to see it all go. This book was incredibly deceptive. Just when I thought it couldn't get any more brutal, Amy proved me wrong and knocked the breath out of me. That's one of the things I love the most about Amy's writing. She doesn't sugar coat things and isn't afraid of letting her characters go through hell. She made me cry sometimes because of it. Everything the characters were going through and I couldn't do anything but watch... My heart was on the verge of tearing out of my heart from all the pain these characters were giving me. It was deceptive and heart-breaking.
The bond between Dro and Con is one of my favorites ever. Their hardships only manage to make it stronger than ever and it's amazing to witness. They're both relentless no matter how impossible their situation seems, Con more than anyone. I have a deep respect for her and the lengths she's capable of going through in order to keep those she loves out of harm.
I loved how this book mainly takes place in Mexico since I don't think I've ever read another book that does as well. I loved the imagery Amy created throughout the series. I honestly believed everything was in ruins and I felt the heart ache of witnessing it all in devastation.
This series wasn't heavy on the romance at all even though there is some. It was a nice change of pace. All in all, this trilogy wrapped up amazingly. I loved the emotional roller coaster these characters took me on and they've made me proud. And sad, really sad.

Thoughts: Damn that was good! As I stated in my review of book 2, I was pretty sure they would win but I wasn't really sure how and couldn't wait to find out. So worth it! Constance's deep rooted love for her sister, Andromeda, and her unwavering need to keep her safe rivaled most romance stories. Along with the unwanted trust in her friends, Sephiel, Warrick, and Max there was no doubt in my mind that they would't prevail. Connie (Constance) didn't want to let anyone else get close due to her fear of betrayal and loss, and I really couldn't blame her for it. I would've reacted the same way if I were in that situation. Keeping her sister safe is her number one priority, and with her first love betraying her, allowing anyone to get close is near impossible. I love Warrick, he kept pushing against her walls until they finally broke but he knew when to hold back. Plus his green eyes just sounded sexy as all hell. I am so glad I read this but I'm so bummed it's over, I will miss my new book friends but I'm sure I will visit them again. This is definitely a trilogy that I want to read again!
Please note that I received a complimentary copy of this work and voluntarily chose to write a review.

Connie and Dro are two sisters who are very close, well as close as people can get when one of them is the offspring of an angel and demon. After opening the gates of both Heaven and Hell it is up to these two sisters and their band of misfits, to fight both Lucifer and Michael, the archangel, all while trying to close the gates and keep Lucifer away from his daughter, Dro. Not to mention, Dro has major internal struggles and Connie…well, she is constantly trying to be the tough older sister who refuses to let anyone get emotionally close to her. But can Connie protect Dro from herself? And how can anyone stop the devil from taking what he believes belongs to him, his daughter?
Damnation’s Door has a cyclic story that follows closely to the plots of the first two novels in the series. The story is written in first person narration told by Connie, so the readers get insights into her thinking and justifications of her actions. She is over protective, and the reader is reminded countless times every chapter. The writing is quite repetitive, almost a quarter of the book is descriptions of fight scenes, which are very descriptive and shows the authors strengthens. However, part of the downfall is there needs to be new scenes to write about and an expansion of the character’s personalities.
Amy Braun created a world that brings together the supernatural realm of heaven and hell in an epic battle. Damnation’s Door is interesting enough to captivate readers who are looking for a good quick read.
I give this book 3 out of 5 stars.
Enjoy!
