If decision-makers encounter low-integrity employees who are working to undermine attempts to build their teams, they should provide them with realistic opportunities to demonstrate productive interactions. If this doesn’t work, they can consider whether these people will likely modify their behaviors in another role, and if the employee is unresponsive, they can then put termination on the table.
