The Third Order
Maggie and Ben settled on Craigmillar for their wedding, on September 15, 1997. Callum was best man, and Sarah was Matron of Honor. All five “littles” were in the wedding party, which thrilled them. Ben insisted on wearing a tuxedo, but the Fraser men, all four of them, were in their dress tartan kilts and Prince Charlie jackets. The little girls were dressed in white frocks with Fraser tartan sashes, and the little boys were also in Fraser kilts. Maggie carried red roses to complement the red in the Fraser tartan, and Sarah wore a red gown. The entire wedding party looked splendid. It was a perfectly beautiful day; the castle was magnificent… the day was absolutely perfect. Ben and Maggie spent the night in Edinburgh, flying out to Italy the next day for their two-week honeymoon.
