Shoot for Earth: MedSci Missions 3

High above the jungle region of planet Fbar, Ramone Roberto let a sweet breath of dust devil breeze flow into him. It smelled so good he opened his mouth to taste it. An odd sensation of eating air distracted him momentarily from his study of the mineral encrusted volcanic boulders in front of him. His only interest in what could be valuable gems on earth poking out of nature’s rubble, was in how chunks were positioned. Watching his footing ahead was vital. His eyes fell on a sheer drop-off a few feet away. Quickly, he quickly re-focused on where he could safely place his boots instead of on the chasm below – so far below that the squared-off trunks of two or four-meter wide trees were just a blur of dark. Fear would only bring shakiness and much greater risk of stumbling. The rocks ahead actually formed a nice little staircase with just enough room for one foot at a time if you chose the right path. Choosing the wrong path could go very wrong.
