"Well, Storyteller, teller of tall tales, you have found the courage to meet me," said the tall villain in a green mask and green costume known as Masquerado. He had the power to transform anyone's identity by simply touching them.
"Give up Masquerado, your team has been captured and you are on your own now," said William.
"Did you think that it would be so easy to get me?" asked Masquerado.
"Give me the Story Diamond or I will shoot this woman right now."
"What good will it do you Masquerado? You are not a Storyteller and it will not reveal its power to you."
"But, I used to be a Storyteller like you too," says Masquerade as he takes off his green mask to reveal his face.
"Bontaro, it's you, but how can it be, you were my Mentor and I saw you mauled to death by a grizzly bear?" said William shocked.
"You needed to have your training to be directed to the path of the Storyteller. Your first achievement of getting the diamond of story is now my reward for training you. Never believe everything that you see and always look for the mystery in every story," said Bontaro who was the evil Masquerado.
"What do you plan to do with the Diamond of Story?" asks William, as the henchmen of Masquerado hold William back.
Masquerado places his left hand above the mark of the story diamond on William's chest.
The image of the Diamond begins to vibrate and then it moves off the chest and materializes in the air and moves towards Masquerado.
"I plan to let you live in darkness as you go on your second quest to find the Veil of Story. Only after you have found the Veil will your blindness be lifted and returned. This quest you must complete in blindness," says Masquerado with his devilish laughter.
The evil Masquerado lifts the Diamond of Story, as rays of light pass through the stone and celestial fire comes out of the diamond.
William is engulfed in flames.
The flames burn his flesh and yet he does not burn.
William is aware that the flames will not kill him.
If he was the Storyteller he would have been able to control these flames which have covered his body from head to foot.
The fires burn his skin, he wills it to stop and then the flames seem to disappear.
A veil of blindness is cast over the eyes of William the now blinded Storyteller.
William is alive, but he has lost his vision after being engulfed in those celestial flames which emanated from the Story Diamond when his nemesis held it in the sunlight.
