This unusual feline soon discovered he was different in another way. He loved music. When his human girls practiced the piano or saxophone, he moved his tail to the rhythm and even did a little kitty dance. Sometimes he even found himself doing a little twirl around the room.
When Kari, his human girl, sat down to practice the piano, she always warmed up by playing “Chop Sticks.” Warren sat next to her on the bench, his tail moving to the rhythm, and from time to time, his paw reached up to add a note or two to the tune.
Kari always said, “Warren, do you want to play a duet?” He rubbed his head against her arm and for a few bars they created their own music. Kari played and Warren pawed notes of his own.
“Good job, Warren,” Kari said and he honked back, “Thank you,” giving her a kitty rub with his head on her arm. Kari reached over and scratched his head, picked him up, and gave him a big hug. “We are a great team, Warren,” she said.
