Warren was at the keyboard pawing a new rhythm and batting the bells from time to time. He turned to talk to the band. He noticed Izzie was not playing her guitar in the usual way. The sound was amazing.
“Hey Izzie. What’s up with the guitar?” Warren asked.
“I was thinking that this guitar might sound better if I could hold it. When it is on the floor, too much of the sound goes down and not out. I figured out a way to play this beauty like other artists.”
“It sounds purr-tacular!” honked Warren.
“Purr-fect,” came the comments from the pots section.”
“Paw-some,” said Big Guy.
Then the vocalists broke out in a new meow cheer song in praise of Izzie. Weezie blew a few milk jug praises and Andy gave triangle ping praises.
Oreo saw it first. It was small, silver, and had little holes all long one edge.
“What is this?” Oreo asked as he picked it up in his paws?
“I think Kari said that’s a harmonica,” Warren honked. “Kari and Kris were down here practicing. Kris was on her saxophone and Kari was blowing on the harmonica. It’s cool.”
“I like it. Mind if I try it?” Oreo asked.
Warren was thinking about the DJ’s comment regarding the band. Not only is this band the most unusual band around, it is one with paws for the love of music.
“Go for it, Oreo. It seems like we’re all trying some new things. We all seem to have paws for the love of music,” he said.
