What? Cats Have Magical Powers?
I have always loved cats! Soft, cuddly, surprising, and predicting. Yes, they can sense things and predict what is going to happen. I discovered that early in our marriage when the cat my husband gave me for a wedding present seemed to sense something going on outside that she thought I needed to know about. I heard nothing. I saw nothing. Then, sometimes as late as the next day, I discovered the problem When my husband was in Vietnam, she sensed when something uneasy was about to happen and cuddled me. When I taught World Humanities, I discovered cats in various cultures were considered not only lucky but were able to predict future events. So, I decided to use that information. After all, Little Honker does have unusual talents and why not let him have magical powers like Egyptian cats. I liked it. I think he liked it! Kari and Kris liked it.

Little Honker's Backyard Adventures
“You have a cat named Fanta? “ Kris asked. She looked at Kari and said, “Didn’t Honker say something about a cat named Fanta?”
“Yes he did,” Kris said. “Just a coincidence I guess.”
“We do have a cat named Fanta,” Kaycee said. “We actually have three cats. Sprite is Fanta’s mom and we have Willy too. We adopted them from a rescue place.”
“OK this is pretty strange,” Kari said to Kris. “I am sure Honker said something about Sprite and Willy. What is going on here?”
“I know. This is very strange,” Kris said. “You never know about that Little Honker. I think we will have a chat when we go home.”
Suddenly Garrett was on the scene and said, “They all became a family in the FURcility and none of us wanted to separate them. Sprite had babies in the rescue place and Willy came in later.”
“We heard that Willy was really sick when they found him and most of his tail had been cut off,” Sheridan said. “Nobody knows how it happened, but he loves his girls so much that we couldn’t stand to separate them.”
“And Willy?” Kris said as she turned to Kari. “Definitely time to talk to Honker.
“Has Honker met our cats?” Garrett asked. “You are talking like he has.”
“I don’t think so, but he does have quite an imagination,” Kris said.
