“Help me!” Warren honked again. “I can’t (gasp) swim (gasp).” Warren was moving in the direction of the edge, but he kept going under the water. Every time his head popped out of the water, he gasped for air.
All four ducklings came paddling as fast as their little legs would let them. Instinct set in and the ducklings went into action.
“Hold on, Warren. We’ll help you swim to the side so you can get out.”
Warren had two front paws on two ducklings and they were all swimming to the side of the pond. Warren was working his hind feet as fast as he could and holding on to the sides of two of the ducklings. The two in the back were pushing Warren and trying desperately to keep him afloat. When they got there, he put his front paws on the edge of the pond and two of the babies pushed and pushed and pushed him with their heads from the back.
They pushed and pushed until finally his back side was out of the water. Those ducklings had way more superpower than Warren could ever imagine.
“Wow! Your tail is long and it doesn’t look anything like ours.”
“No wonder you can’t swim very well.”
“Thanks guys! You saved me.
