“So, do you think I could start going outside more often to talk to them?” Warren pleaded.
“I think it would be fine as long as you don’t try the swimming thing again,” Kris said. “You were a mess.”
“And, we don’t want anything to happen to you,” Kari said. “You are our special Little Honker who practices with us and sends all of us on new adventures.”
“OK. Can I go talk to them now?” Warren asked.
“Just don’t get into any more messes little guy,” Kris said.
“It took us quite a while to get your fur smoothed out,” Kari said.
On that note, Little Honker went to the patio door, gave a soft honk asking for the door to be opened, and waited patiently for one of his girls to open the door.
“Some patio doors have little doors for pets to go in and out all by themselves,” Warren said.
“They do,” Kris said. “But, I’m not so sure that would be a good idea at this house.” Who knows what might be coming inside to visit us.
“I think we will leave it at “Permission Only” for now,” Kari said. “Just let us know when you want to go outside.”
“OK,” Warren said. “I’ll honk when I want to come in.”
