Before the pandemic in 2020, my life was one busy mess! Very few white spaces appeared on my calendar/planner. I moved from one commitment to the next, while working a full time job, barely taking time to rest.
While I miss my family and friends, going to church, eating out, birthday celebrations, and even book signing events, I appreciate the months of solitude. To me, the vision is clear; God desires that we slow down, reflect, and listen for His voice.
I find that my senses swell with visions of God as I take my morning walks through my neighborhood. The occasional rabbit I spot hiding in the bushes, the gentle breeze, and the awesome variety of colorful trees breathes fresh air into my being. As I gaze upon the beautiful and sweet-scented flowers, I find myself desiring to be still, I am greatly aware of God’s wonderful gift of life
Take this day and everyday to smell the roses!
