One can smell the aroma of yeast, as I have been busy baking bread for the past few weeks as research for a new writing project. However, my enjoyment comes most from the eating of the bread, as opposed to the process of making it. In ancient times, bread was baked daily, as it was considered a primary staple. “The Bread of Life”— one of the names of Jesus. Jesus said, “I am the bread of life . . .” ( John 6:35). Did you know that Bethlehem, where Jesus was born means “house of bread?” It is the Bread of Life — Jesus, that I employ a thankful heart. It is He, the sustainer of life from heaven. Give thanks to God!
