A year and a half ago, a woman contacted me by email. She and I had met at a writers critique group where she remembered me speaking about my book. She went on to share that several months later she ran across my book in the public library. Soon after, the woman's daughter told her that her grandson said, “I don’t like Jesus. I’m afraid of Him and He doesn’t look like my family.” My newfound reading fan immediately rushed to the library and checked out my book. With enthusiasm, she reported that her grandson loved my story and went to bed willingly to “hear God’s voice!” She thanked me and said that God is using me through my writing. The impact of receiving this message was indeed priceless. This gracious woman took the time to share her grandson’s struggle with God. She confirmed my mission of using my writing as a ministry that expands beyond the walls of the church. I give my gratitude and praise to God for the capability to have inspired this child and his family. It is such a joy knowing when a child or an adult are able to “see” God in themselves. I’d like to convey my love and gratitude to all of my reading fans and supporters during this season of love!
