During the summer months, soon after sunrise, I take walks in my neighborhood. As I walk, I glance at the homes in my community. I observe the houses that could use a paint job, houses recently painted, yards needing a good clean up or overgrown lawns, . . . and the list goes on. OK, you can say it, “She’s nosy!” Just call me an advocate for the upkeep of my neighborhood. Then I spot yards with beautiful landscaping and flower gardens. At this point, I no longer focus on the homes that need up keeping, including mine. In awe, I gaze at the well-manicured shrubs, plants, color-rich trees, and the vibrant and sweet scented flowers, and I muse, “This is God!” Take a walk today and observe nature. Free your mind, listen ever so carefully, and you will realize that God is walking with you. “This is God’s wonderful gift, and He gave it to you and me.”
