Author Biography

A true Georgia Peach, Vanessa, a former music teacher is currently a teacher- librarian and reading teacher. An inspirational author and speaker, Vanessa penned the children’s verse story, Mama, I Want to See God. This story is the first book in the series, Families Growing in Faith. Book two, Daddy, I Want to Know God launched October 1, 2017. In addition to writing, Vanessa enjoys singing for the Lord and baking homemade goods for her loved ones. God in Me

As adults, we understand that God is spirit (John 4:24). However, children are curious and have many questions about God and why they can’t see Him. My grandson was one such curious child. He genuinely wanted to connect with God. His curiosity spoke to me and inspired me to write Mama, I Want to See God. During my lifetime, I have strived to model God’s love. When we, as adults exhibit our love for God and for one another, children will see God in us. And, through their continued hunger for knowing God and loving Him, they will in turn see God in themselves.
