Often times, I prayed for God to grow me spiritually. But, without discipline in studying God’s Word, I was only giving lip service to this request. However, over time, I have learned a spiritual truth; “faith without works is dead” (James 2:26). As I continue to grow spiritually, I display my actions when I live my life honoring God. So, when our children waiver in their faith, it’s good to say, “trust in God.” But, we need to ensure that we model our “faith talks with our walk.” When our children observe that we are not just “talking the talk, but walking the talk,” we teach them how to show their faith through their actions. And, when we take those steps that lead us to action, as my minister says, “begin to trust the process.” God is able.
