As I reflect upon my childhood, I remember the feeling of basking in my parent’s love. I felt peaceful and I loved them in return. Because of this reciprocal love, I wanted to please them; but sometimes I made poor choices and consequently they were not very thrilled. But, right or wrong choices, I always felt their love. You cannot beat that “unconditional love!” That’s the same kind of love that God rains on us, despite our sinful nature. God loves caresses us morning, noon, and night.
"The Lord appeared to us in the past, saying: ‘I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness." ~ Jeremiah 31:3
