Brandy stacked the trays in the fridge, as Cindy put covers on the chips. A loud crackle shook the room, followed by a flash covering the sky like a blanket.
Cindy gasped. “This storm is crazy! It makes me feel really nervous.”
Brandy walked over to the window and peered down at the streets. She could see the bridge from the kitchen window, and how beautifully they had it lit up. The other windows in the apartment had great views of the water, but this was truly her favorite. The clouds in the angry sky were thick and dark. The beautiful moon was nowhere to be seen.
