Revenge is best served with a dose of magic.
Still reluctantly holding a candle for Sabine Flemming, the Lightbearer who shared her magic with him, Xander Wulf is determined to leave his past behind once and for all. He decides to take temporary respite with a tribe of humans trying to survive the long, cold winter. There he meets Adelle Poema, a shifter with a mysterious past and a determination to kill the chief’s human son.
Adelle’s broken, or at least that’s what it feels like. She’s lost everything, and her life has become defined by a burning need for revenge. Killing the chief’s son is the only way she can move forward and let go of her past.
Until she meets Xander. Now Adelle must choose … Revenge or love?

Once upon a time, I started writing a series. Called it Lightbearer Series, since the main characters were magical people called Lightbearers. Eleven manuscripts later, I decided to write a prequel. Called it First Light. This perma-free prequel to the series explains what happened 500 years before the series actually starts.
Fast forward to 2016, and I was invited to add a short story to an anthology, which will be released on Valentine's Day, 2017. I actually half wrote an entirely different book, but couldn't figure out how to finish it. But Xander's story... well, Xander (the hero of Broken Light) wouldn't leave me alone. You see, Xander was a prominent player in the series prequel, and many readers told me they wanted his story. So I thought, how strange would it be to have TWO series prequels?
Well, now we know, because Xander's story will be released in the Claiming My Valentine anthology, on 2/14/2017!
