They had given Frank permission to leave his place. That wasn’t a problem. What was cutting him in two was that he had to tell April the most awful news he could bring. He gathered up supplies because he knew he had to keep April at his cottage until she was well past the shock he was bringing to her. He had Bonnie’s purse in the plane with her ID.
He took off for the worst flight he had ever made. He landed and rather than tying the plane up at his dock he ran it up onto the sand beach. By the time he was shut down April came bouncing down the steps to the beach and took one look at Frank and said,
“What’s wrong Frank?”
“I need to get inside. Please come with me.”
She turned curiously and followed him up to the cottage and sat down on the couch beside him.
“Frank you look terrible. What is wrong?”
“April I need you to listen carefully to what I have to say because I am bringing awful news.”
“OK, I am listening carefully but you are scaring me.”
“There is no easy way to say this April.
