The attractive vampire soon became a major distraction—one I couldn’t afford to have—and I found it hard to focus on the words he said. I had a song stuck in my head, and every step Camdyn took I thought of his hips working me to the beat. Oh, hell. It didn’t help that my eyes kept drifting over his muscular body. Soon, I imagined all he could do with his large hands.

After Dimitri, I swore off men. I didn’t want to take the chance that something worse than a bloodsucker waited for me. I also couldn’t risk killing someone.
