Not Everyone Likes the Sun
As a kid, I was never a big fan of the sun. Sun meant heat. Heat meant sweat, and I didn’t like sweating. With age, I’ve grown to NEED the sun. Those days that I spend in a dreary room make me yearn for the sun. But I write about vampires, beings who can’t easily go out in the sun. Maybe that’s why I look for the work around—a charm to enable them to walk in the light.

The Crimson Cure
If I’d been in her shoes… If I had the ability, would I have sought a cure? Unequivocally, yes. There were many times, mostly during the day, when I would have done anything to be human again. A man who could walk in the sun. A man who could sleep and dream and live out his days with the people he loved instead of outliving everyone he knew.
But that was impossible. When I let go of my humanity, my existence became easier. Instead of dreading the sunlight, I acquired a Cursebreaker amulet and once again walked amongst the living.
