A trip to a Gothic library, even a massive three-story one, had never been my idea of a good time. Somebody forgot to tell the attractive male by my side that studying dusty old books was a major libido killer.
Steering me to the right of the main desk, Camdyn said, “We’ll be in the lending library today.”
My gaze wandered up the winding iron staircase behind the librarian on duty. “What’s up there?”
He sighed. “The second floor is for staff.”
“And the third?”
“Nothing that concerns you.”
Wrong answer.
His reply only fueled my curiosity. I would have insisted on an explanation, but Camdyn tugged me toward a table near a wall of computers. His touch sparked something within me and suddenly focusing became damn near difficult.
