Morning comes with a bundle of nerves and a stretch limo waiting to carry us to the wedding site—a 156-year-old castle on eight acres of land. Thankfully, Hadid and Cash keep me focused. Otherwise, I would have arrived with just my street clothes.
Sitting in the back seat, I think about everything that’s happened up to this point. It was Jonah Nelson, a human who introduced me to Kelsie. The kid didn’t know I didn’t do blind dates, but I’m so glad I went on that one. Just from a picture, I could tell Kelsie was special. Her aura called out to me, but I was hooked by her beauty and innocence. When we met, Kelsie didn’t value her worth as a succubus. It was only after I bit her and vampirism threatened her life that she appreciated being Lilin.
“You ready for this?” Cash asks, pulling me out of my thoughts, as the driver stops in front of the building.
“I am.” It’s true. I am ready to marry Kelsie.
As a vampire, I’d resigned myself to a life alone. The beautiful female waiting for me gave me hope when she accepted my proposal. When we traveled through Europe, I realized Kelsie was my destiny. If I hadn’t become undead, I’d never have met her.
