Author Biography

SF Benson loves putting a spin on a story. She primarily writes romantic fantasy with unusual characters in unexpected circumstances. SF’s books feature diverse and strong characters who have to work hard to get to their happily ever after. Sometimes the playing field is fraught with supernaturals. Other times it might be a pervasive magic. No matter how you look at it, her characters know how to meet the challenge and get what they desire—love! Published since 2016, SF has released sixteen books in five different series and has appeared in four anthologies! Under Nadirah Foxx, she’s written six books on the darker, steamier side of life. Know Thy History

Out of all the books I've written, Bitter Fruit was probably the most difficult. I interspersed historical fact with fiction to create a flip on a fairy tale. The hard part was researching the history (Germany during WWII) and making it not only interesting but plausible.

Knowing that Arabella had never been a decent student, she probably had no idea of what she’d done. The poor girl only wanted to learn magick. She had no interest in mathematics or history, which made her participating in a scheme to harvest evil souls from the past practically laughable.

My stepsister didn’t realize her tinkering was like upsetting a house of cards. Tip one, and they all begin to fall. Tinker with one historical aspect, and it created a ripple effect.

Her reluctance to learn the valuable things in life would inevitably be her downfall. Those who did not know their history were doomed to repeat it. Or, in Arabella’s case, live through the unfortunate side effects. Since Esther White was behind my stepsister’s actions, I seriously doubted if the elderly woman cared about what happened to Arabella.
