Scott Davis has been watching the World with puzzled incredulity since 1959. So far, the World has been perfectly content to ignore him – that can hardly continue, now that he's opened his big mouth and begun making observations ...
I really don't have anything against Islam, any more than I have a problem with Christianity – I do have a problem with EXTREMITY, however. Every religion and political viewpoint has its extremists – and they almost always fit the exact same profile:
1) They believe THEY, and ONLY THEY, are right.
2) They believe no one else is even worth listening to.
3) They believe that they have a right to their beliefs – but no one else has a right to their own.
4)They usually believe it's perfectly ok to kill people who disagree with them.
This is true of ISIS, The KKK, and the Westboro Baptist Church. Note that the last two are supposedly "Christian" organizations. So, if you think I'm anti-islamist, you'll also have to consider me anti-christian. I'm NOT, but you're entitled to your opinion – and no one will kill you for it!
Apart from Christianity, there are religions that claim you can only attain eternal life by being born into the right ethnic group, and others that claim eternity is reserved for those wearing a full beard, while abstaining from alcohol, oppressing women, and addressing God 5 times a day, on their knees, facing East. Failure to subscribe to the more extreme version of that particular faith is rewarded by death, sometimes administered by rockets, crashing airliners, or by proximity to an exploding member of the faithful wearing a coat lined with C4 (said member gets an immediate pass into heaven, along with the flight-crews of the crashing airliners – the guy firing the rockets has to wait, despite his arguably important addition to the infidel death-toll.)
