“Mrs. Medhavi, you said you wanted to know how Jehovah created the world.”
Pompous man. Rama shrugged, losing interest in the conversation.
“It’s all from Lord Brahma anyway.”
Allen frowned.
Oh dear. Rama didn’t know why she was being so rude. It cost nothing to be polite. And she’d invited Reverend Allen to tell her the legend.
“Please. Tell me your story.” Rama gave Allen her direct attention as the missionary enthusiastically explained how Jehovah created everything from nothing, — heaven, earth, light, plants, sun, moon, and stars. Enough, Rama felt like saying.
“What a marvelous story!”
“It isn’t finished yet. This only takes us to the end of the fourth day of creation. There’re three more days.”
“Then you must come back another time. If you stay any longer, my neighbors will gossip.” And my bladder might burst.
