Laxmibai rubbed her head. “What don’t you understand?”
“There’re so many of them. And they watch Lord Krishna all the time.”
“The cow herders’ wives aren’t in the story I’m teaching now. Please focus.” Laxmibai rubbed her head again.
“Mama, what’s wrong with your head?”
“It’s sore this morning. It’ll pass.”
“You could rest instead of teaching me.”
Laxmibai hugged her daughter. “There’s no chance of that. If I tell you about Lord Krishna and the cow herders’ wives, will you focus on the story I’m teaching you?”
Rama grinned. “Yes, Mama.”
Laxmibai gave her daughter a long look. “Very well. When Lord Krishna was a child...”
“How could Lord Krishna be a child?”
