When the host finally reached the other creature, it was obviously subservient to the host. It immediately touched the host, to re-establish their relationship. The Mists had seen that action in some of their other hosts. The symbiotic relationship was so strong, they needed to reconnect each time they met and reestablish their position with each other. Judging from the enthusiasm of the other creature, it must derive a great deal of pleasure being subservient to the host. The Mists were encouraged. Usually, those kinds of relationships made their lives very pleasant.
After a few moments of touching, the other creature seemed to excrete some food from one of its appendages. The host enjoyed the food and the Mists were excited that the subservient creature was so much in fear of their host that it produced food when they met. They truly had found the ideal host. Hopefully, they could find others like it and spread among the group.
