Darkness allows us to see the beauty of our lights
There’s a reason we do fireworks at night. The magic of the exploding lights can’t compete with the glare of the sun.
When you compare yourself to people more famous or more successful or more whatever than you, your lights are swamped by theirs and you fail to see them.
Step out of the glare. Stop comparing yourself with others, no matter how worthy they may appear to you. Give yourself a chance to see your own value, your own talents, your own achievements, your own lights.
You’re not here in competition with anybody else.
When you stop comparing yourself with others, you will see yourself in a new light. No-one else is living your life story. No-one else is doing your life’s work. No-one else has your life purpose. You’re unique. You are a one off. You don’t need to be perfect. In fact, it’s your imperfections that make you interesting or give you the edge in pursuing your life purpose or being the lovable person you are.
