The computer’s screen saver dissolved from a peaceful beach image to a scorched-looking desert. Then, the words, “What are you in the mood for today, Sonya?” came up followed by “Touch to find your perfect mood.”
Sure not interested in roasting myself out in the desert. I tapped the screen and sipped my green tea. Maybe some other time I’d check out the desert sheik in a tent scenario. With a roll of my shoulders, I chose Relax from the first list. It had been a long day of angry clients and butting heads with Brandon, my fellow loan officer and total jerkweed.
The next list provided options such as massage vs a soak in a mineral bath. After picking massage, I opted for firm pressure, aromatherapy oils, and two providers. Yeah, two guys rubbing on me at once was definitely what I needed after the day I’d had. I selected two names from the list. Nathan and Justin. They knew how I liked it. I loved how I could order exactly what I needed from Mood Cafe. No questions. No judgement.
The usual message appeared about waiting while my mood adjustment space was prepared. I sat back with a sigh, anticipating what the next hour would bring. The tension would be worked out of my muscles, and then…then my therapists would provide whatever other release I needed, if I needed more.
I always needed more.
