Crossing Yesterday
Regina cranked the car, and pulled out of the circle drive.
She smiled as she thought about the last couple of days.
That was really a lot of fun. I enjoyed time with Jorja. There were moments when I felt like it was only yesterday since we talked…
The more Regina contemplated the weekend, however, the more she realized there were deeper questions to be answered. The answers to those questions, might not be as easy to overcome as simply as the physical reconnection had been.
She pushed the thoughts to the back of her mind. I’ve got plenty of time to think about all that. Today, I need to get home, check on the kids, and get ready for Monday.
Monday, Monday….back to Melvin and volunteer work. Just how happy am I with my life? It sure seems like Jorja’s done a lot more satisfying things with hers…
She turned on the music, her Elvis cd still playing.
