Eel and his cousins looked all around the ocean and finally they saw TWO large round creatures swimming by. One of them was Sting Ray!

Eel went up to Sting Ray and said, “Sting Ray. Who is this?”

Sting Ray said, “This is my cousin. Her name is Dunder Under.”

Eel exclaimed, “She has no stinger!”

Sting Ray laughed, “She was born like that, without a stinger. In fact, she doesn’t have a tail. We must swim a little bit slower. It makes it more difficult for her to swim because she doesn’t have a tail to use as a rutter to help guide her. In fact she has Dunder….Under!”

They all sank down and rested on the bottom of the ocean.

Dunder Under said, “Hi, I’m Dunder Under. It’s nice to meet all of you.” Everyone smiled and said “Hi. It’s nice to meet you.”

They chatted for a while, and the Eels all thought Dunder Under was very nice.

One of the eels asked, “Dunder Under, why don’t you have a stinger?”

Dunder Under said, “I don’t know, I was just born that way.”

They all decided to go for a swim together. Dunder Under swam up to the top of the water, followed by all the eels. Dunder Under swam gracefully with her apron waving gently in the water. The eels were all jumping and swimming around her, playing games and chasing each other. Occasionally, one would land on her large apron. At first, they were all a little scared. Then Dunder Under dipped her apron and the eel went sliding away. They all laughed and laughed. They all wanted turns sliding down Dunder Under’s apron, making her into a sliding board. Dunder Under just laughed. She was glad that she could have fun with other sea creatures and they didn’t mind that she was different. One of the eels climbed up to the top of the sliding board and started down. All of a sudden, Dunder Under flipped her apron, and the little eel went flying into the air and plunged back into the water! All the other eels screeched to a halt to see what had happened.

Then, up came the flying eel and said, “WOW! That was FUN.”

All the other eels wanted to go flying also. After a while, Dunder Under was getting tired! But they all had a wonderful time,

Dunder Under said, “You can go sliding and flying anytime you want to, just let me know.”
