“Hurry,” Tory said, suddenly determined to do whatever was necessary to save Brodie and Alec as she listened to the shouts of the Russians. She grabbed Marine’s hand and pulled her closer to the Russians, running. “Yell my name,” she said.
“I don’t know it,” Marine whispered urgently.
“Victoria. Now yell it!”
“Victoria!” Marine yelled as loud as she could. She yelled it again. “Victoria!”
When Tory heard the Russians shouting and saw them turn toward them and point, she stopped, as if Marine, still holding her hand, had pulled her to a stop. Then she turned to the other woman, wrapped her arm around her neck and kissed her, passionately.
